![]() Sunday, January 19, 2003 Mom My Mom celebrated her 55th birthday yesterday. We sang her "happy birthday" over MSN instant messenger; from the tiny video screen we can see her tearing and smiling face. My mom will officially retire from her teaching job after this week, so this birthday is a kind of landmark to her. She is a little sentimental about this sudden shift of life pace: ¡°How could time fly so fast, I¡¯m a retired woman now...¡±. And thetragedy is that her heart and mind left behind on her 18th birthday and never grows older. I guess there is something to do with the age range of the people she teaches dancing with: she have been dancing everyday for 30 years or so with people 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, and now 40 years younger than her. What is her plan for the new life? ¡°I¡¯m going to Senior¡¯s College to learn English and computer skills." My mom said proudly. That is my good girl, dear mom. Happy birthday and enjoy your new life. posted by lmeimei @12:09 PM| permanent link| | |
